Last week an excursion train carrying visitors from as far away as New York and Virginia arrived in Toccoa for our annual Harvest Festival. This is a photo of one of the antique cars on the train. I was shocked when I noticed the leaf color in its windows. And of course, the mayor of Toccoa cued the hawk in this photo to fly over at the perfect moment.
I'm not a professional photographer. Thank goodness! But I do love taking photographs. Years ago, I worked for a newspaper as a photographer where my editor, who had been a Navy photo journalist, taught me how to take photos without using a light meter! The lessons I learned then became anchors for what I do today and will do in the future.
