The 37th Annual Harvest Festival was held in historic downtown Toccoa and this event always draws a crowd with music, dancing, craft vendors and food! There is no better time of the year to take in the sights, sounds and smells of fall while strolling through our historic downtown!
400+ participated in the 11th Annual Lainie Weade Memorial Tour de Tugaloo benefit bicycle ride along the Historic Tugaloo River Corridor, Lake Hartwell and the foothills of Western South Carolina. Proceeds from the race benefit the Stephens County Foundation for preservation of the Tugaloo River corridor. These two were on the Century 100 mile leg!
"E.P. Simpson began construction of the pond and Haddock Inn in 1898." The Inn had 58 rooms, veranda and a view of Toccoa Falls, it was a tourist destination for many in Atlanta and surrounding areas. E.P. Simpson sold the inn, Toccoa Falls and 100 acres to Dr. R. A.
